Dimiris, a Greek national has been teaching and training throughout the world for several years at top school such as Tiger Muaythai & MMA in Phuket, Thailand to name but one. This was one of the most educating seminars in a long time with focus placed on groundwork and cage control with the spesific techniques on the ground. defiantly worth the while!!

We cant wait to have Dimitris here @ Two Brothers for a seminar. We are planning a tentative date for Saturday 25 February 2012, so watch this space…………………….. 

Four fighters from Two Brothers Combat Institute were chosen to compete in the event and will face opponents from other gyms in the Cape Town area.

Flippie du Preez will face Pupanga Zoulu from Panther Fighting Arts and Fitness in Parklands, Cape Town. This will be a Amateur Middleweight MMA bout.

Schalk Burger will face Sibusiso Leanord from Panther Fighting Arts and Fitness in Parklands, Cape Town. This will be a Amateur Lightweight MMA bout.

Johan du Toit will face Ernest Reyneke from Rico Hattingh MMA in Cape Town. This will be a Amateur Heavyweight MMA bout.

Sors Grobbelaar will face Chris du Pont from Tiger Kai in Mosselbay. This will be a Professional Heavyweight MMA bout.

2011 was a GREAT year for us and 2012 will be an even BETTER one!!. Classes resume on Wednesday 4 January 2012, so don’t be late. We have load planned for this year, so strap yourselves in!!!!!

 Depending on the needs of the student, focus can be put on numerous areas such as weight loss, strength and conditioning, endurance enhancement, technique and are all sport specific to what we do……….. ALL IN TOTAL PRIVACY. From “OLD SCHOOL” training techniques to the use of Bulgarian Sandbags and the TRX System are used at the gym and incorporated into the sessions to ensure optimum results are maintained and you walk out satisfied!!

All of our students each received a certificate and medal as proof of their membership to the respective academies and a medal of gratitude towards the hard work the put in each night!!

Unfortunately not everybody can be a student of the year and we had a real tough time deciding on who receive the awards in the different categories. We had awards for Sub Junior (up to 7 years of age), Junior (7 to 13 years of age), Sub Senior (14 – 18 Years of age) and Senior (19 years and over). The following students were selected as Student of the year:

SUB JUNIOR: FEMALE – Marinel du Plessis. MALE – Waytt May

JUNIOR: FEMALE – Klare Otte. MALE – Luan Venter

SUB SENIOR: FEMALE – Jacomine Pienaar. MALE – Flippie du Preez

SENIOR: FEMALE – Nicky Grobbelaar. MALE – Schalk Burger.

There were also special awards for the HEART OF LION trophy that went to Jean-Luc Adendorff,  BEST PROGRESS SMAA to Janine van der Merwe & T.B.C.I to Niel Steenkamp and a SUPPORT & COMMITMENT award to Piet Adendorff for all his support and loyalty towards the gym.

Well done to EACH AND EVERY student of the academies!! You are all SUPERSTARS and really work your tail off!!! The festivities continued with all the people having a braai and some dancing taking place as well. I was an awesome night enjoyed by all. Thank you all for the attendance, it means the world to all the guys and girls!!
