Good day to all the Scorpions/Two Brothers family members. Firstly welcome to all the new students that joined us in December and January and we trust you will have a great time with us and that what you or your children will learn, be used in a positive constructive manner and help develop you as a better, more disciplined person.
Update on the website is that we are standing on 15619 on the website, so that was 1789 for December and January. The site is still growing in popularity with more and more visits on a daily basis. Thanks to everybody supporting and visiting us!!
WOW………………..2012…………………..Here we are. We trust that this year will be even BIGGER AND BETTER than 2011 with loads more accomplishments in store for our gym!! We had two slowwwwwww months with the holiday season and all, but we still have something to report at least!!
We ended off our classes and year on 21 December and opened up for business again on 4 January ready for action. Never the less the guys and girls kept on training with the proof showing in the classes in January.
LOADS OF HARD WORK AND PREPARATION was put in by Sors, Johan and Schalk for CFL 1 that will take place on Saturday 4 February 2012 in the Bellville Velodrome!! This is going to be a CRACKER of a event with all the stops being pulled out by the promoters to bring Cape Town a WORLD CLASS MMA EVENT!!! So watch this space next month for details on the results of the fights.
With the CFL 1 preparations underway, Sors had to go to Cape Town on 13 January to be tested and evaluated obtain his Pro License to compete Professionally in MMA in South Africa. It was tough but well worth it. Well done Sors!! Check out the “PROMMA License” post for the whole story.
On Saturday 14 January Sors also attended a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu seminar hosted by Panther Fighting Arts and Fitness with Dimitris Tsitos, a Greek that has been training and teaching ALL OVER THE WORLD!! A seminar well worth attending!! Have a look at the “Dimitris Tsitos Seminar………………WOW” post for more info on this awesome experience!! We are planning on having him here @ the Two Brothers Gym in February, so stay tuned in……
We also hit the 15000 mark with hits on our website in January!!! We are so thankful for the support and really appreciate all the support we are getting with the website!! THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!
Congratulations to Juan Koch for being selected as the Student of the Month for December 2011 and Cailey Steenkamp for January 2012. Well done guys and keep up the hard work!!!
February has Kickboxing Development tournaments, Officials Training, CFL 1 and our annual GYM CAMP in store………so we will much more to report in our next News Letter!!
Please ensure that you place all orders for equipment and clothing well in advance as we don’t always have enough/correct stock. We are looking at doing it once a month in a bulk order as it will be easier and faster to obtain. Down payment options are available, but with a 50% deposit. Please talk to us for an alternative arrangement for payment and ordering of clothing, equipment and subs. Subs are to be paid latest before the 2nd of each month for that month. Once again feel free to make alternative arrangements with us for payment of any moneys should the need be.
